Network Engineers (Houston)
POSITION SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
- Installation, configuration and troubleshooting in an Enterprise environment with Cisco routers and Cisco and HP switches. LAN switches including Cisco 2960, 3560, 3750 and 6500 series and HP 3500, 5400 and 8200 series switches. Cisco WAN routers including 1800, 2800, 3800, 7200 and 7600 series.
- Must have a good working knowledge of LAN protocols including STP, 802.1q trunking and port channeling; WAN interfaces and protocols including Ethernet, MPLS, IPSec VPN, synchronous serial interfaces and packet over SONET (POS).
- A thorough knowledge of EIGRP and a working knowledge of BGP.
- Must be familiar with Cisco wireless access points and bridges in the 1100 and 1200 series running in Autonomous and lightweight mode.
- Desirable: Experience with F5 BigIP and LTM application switches, Checkpoint VPN-1 firewalls on the Nokia platform, Cisco PIX and ASA firewalls and Juniper ScreenOS based firewalls.
