LTI Qualifies for AWS Lambda Service Delivery Program

July 31st, 2017

LTI has been accepted into the Amazon Web Services Lambda Service Delivery Program.  This demonstrates LTI’s capability with serverless compute and further enhances LTI’s AWS Advanced Consulting Partner status.  Amazon was able to approve LTI for the Lambda Service Delivery accreditation, based on the breadth and complexity of the solutions that were submitted as references.

AWS Lambda lets you run code without provisioning or managing servers. You pay only for the compute time you consume.  There is no charge when your code is not running. With Lambda, you can run code for virtually any type of application or backend service without any administration of virtual machine instances, load balancers or operating systems.

As part of the evaluation process, AWS looked at LTI’s Lambda solutions.  We had recently ported our “Operations Center” application to a serverless compute environment using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFront and Congito.  Our shift supervisors use this application to manage resources and account for who is available to handle incidents and escalations.  It is a critical component to successful operations.  The application makes use of 30 Lambda functions that serve as the backend for a web based user interface that is hosted in S3 and fronted by CloudFront.

Through our acceptance into the service delivery program, LTI is now included in Lamba targeted partner searches, the LTI logo may be featured on the AWS service team’s page, and LTI is eligible for service specific benefits such as exclusive roadmap reviews, service team access and workshops.
